Se Gero Humanus

Profano Mortuus

You let me down
Too many times
Bloodied this flesh
Contriving to dispose
Of my behavior

But if I breathe
Through silent wound
Would I take you
Down my road

Or

Breathe new mind
Into your mood
A passionate
Cadaver

Come to me
Then lay you down
I’ll wait outside
Your door

Contrite the scream
I give you now
No waiting for
A savior

Sweet your kiss
Revive me now
Site with me
Sup upon my table

Keen the words
That cut me down
From speckled flesh
So sallow

And though I claim
To know no love
I will always fail

A simple kiss
Of furrowed brow
Brings out
Human behaviour
