I feel deaths hands
Clammy with anticipation

I do wish he’d wait
Just a little while

Not that I fear him you understand
I’m just not finished yet
There is still much to do
Accomplishments not met
So much yet to tell
My love
Not complete
For her there is much
Far too much
That I’ve left unsaid

I do not ask to be left to live
Rather
I ask for courage
That is sorely lacking
A small dose will suffice
Then I can grant my love
That which she deserves

When that is done
Feel free death
To tighten your grip

But not a moment before
