Murderous

I awoke this morning
Pieces of flesh
Evidence unslain
Resting on your pillow
Smile a bloody stain

Looks like you’ve found salvation
At least a taste for life
So we stay united
Bodies entwined
Discolouring our pain

Even when we’ve had enough
Had our fill
Left mordant scars
Swallowed life and love
Serrated flesh
All the sins of blood
We just fall to pieces
Cast a glance
And gather it up

No need for any sutures
This is how we share our lives
And our bloody love
