Conjunction

Sacred Inamorata

Long years have passed
Manifold the sums of 40
Leaving Canaan desolate

The Divine Dance
Once the herald of greatness
Now passes unnoticed

The Sons of Dawn
Little more than memories
The last king
Failed
Naught but senseless ritual remains

And yet

Still you dance Shekinah
Though your righteous shining light
Dimmed by the cities ersatz glow
No longer heeded

Bright lover of kings
Mother to us all

Will I see your next dance
Or will you be hidden
Tired of mans infidelity
Keeping your mysteries secret

Shekinah
Breach the veil of blindness
Dance for me one time
Let me be anointed
So that once more
Mystery will mean something
