Gravitas Veritas

Temptatio Atrum

In you Middle Earth
You trembled
In fear of the Saxon in the north
More the approaching Orc in the south
That beastly outsider
Come to claim that which was promised
Your world

For millennia
Tales are told
Woven into fantasy
Of Elves and Men
Combating the armies of Sauron
And of Mordor’s might

Why

Why continue the tale
You were defeated
Reaping the rewards of our victory
The many houses for your God

So

Misnomer I call you Hobbit
No shrunken man
For you slew the Vikingr

As they fled from you
So should you bend your knee

To me

For I am your Orc
Come from Normandy

And you

You I conquered
