I sit
A mote
Surrounded by flowers
A corpse
That’s been scoured

I didn’t want it
But when you laughed
Forever came last
That parched husk in your hand
Now bleeds

I once
Screamed in sleep
Now I lay so quiet
Since that time
I got to know you

Calming me
Cried for me
Died with me
Make it all seem good

Dreams
Of my secrets
Wrapped in death

Holding me
Gave to me
Blessing me
Goddess

So
When you come
Claim my flesh
