Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in The Poetry of Rygar

yelling at the void

I yelled away the demon,

I screamed until she fled,

And though I’ll always love her,

I know our love is dead.

We are not meant to be,

In each others arms,

And trying to reason why,

Only does me harm.

I thought I couldn’t live,

Without you in my life,

But I was walking blindly,

Straight into a knife.

Tomorrows another day,

Another time and place,

I’ll wake and meet the dawn,

With a smile upon my face.

I don’t even hate you,

Even though I should,

Hating only harms,

And harm is never good.

So with this thought I’ll leave you,

It’s your loss and not mine,

We will go our separate ways,

And we will both be fine.
