More in The Poetry of Rygar today
I sat there… Right in front of you. Reading the words That were created just for you. My love for you overflowing, Spilling on to the paper, In the form of salty rain. My pain evidenced by my shaky hand And trembling voice. And there you sat, Seemingly unmoved By the emotional display Unfolding before you. I collapsed in your lap, Sobbing uncontrollably … Leaving behind moist reminders Of my pain, stained upon your shirt. Your answer hasn’t changed. But your love for me has. You carelessly discarded my heart Like the spent tissue Used to dry my tears. |
