Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in The Poetry of Rygar

spiritual musings

Theories of beings above and beyond,

Mysteriously seeing those who have gone,

Saving an inner and unseen glow,

Or enslaving the sinner to be damned down below.

Beliefs that are taught without consequence,

Relief that is sought in prayer or vengeance,

The human condition, the choices we rear,

Exhuming perdition, for the God’s that we fear.

Conceived in the hearts the most fearful man,

Believe what I do or you’ll surely be damned.

Cries of heresy doom many to death,

Lies and hypocrisy breathe vile breath.

Many paths to choose, all ending the same,

HE laughs at our fret, and sighs with disdain,

No one way is right, but only HE knows,

To find the light, you must first shed your woes.

Take heed to the path, may it be right,

No need to fear wrath, when encased in HIS light,

The darkness will stay on the edge of your soul,

I impart this to you, now go and be whole.
