Axiomatic

Diaphanous Heliotrope

No easier to run
May as well stay
Much easier to bleed
Where I’m not alone

You unleashed something
A secret locked inside of me
If only it would go away

It’s easier today
Pretending the pain
Is no more

Often I remember
The darkness I embraced
A hate that’s my repast

I won’t change
Even if I could
The hurt inside
Gives me life
Replacing the sameness
Of this world

No fading away
Not one change to make
Reaching high are the flames
Boiling my blood
And all the rage

So don’t look at me
Sad eyes
You’ve seen beneath the lies
You know I won’t change
To spite all the pain
