Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in poems

the end of pretense

Abandoned
on the front porch for everyone to see
my failings gathered like fall leaves
    blown to their final stop
Stuck
at the door that no longer needs a lock
Caught
in the threads of a deserted spider’s web
    no longer camouflaged
and from across the way Sweet Susannah asks
“How many words did you waste today”
