Holy Holy Holy Lord

The path to the baptismal fount was
lined by pews adorned with alternating ribbons
of pastel pink, purple, orange, blue yellow and green,

almost like the flowers on the dresses of the dozens of
blue-haired ladies celebrating the resurrection of their savior

I might not have noticed my redemption
if it weren't for the angel dancing down the center of the church
only touching the pink ones
then

stopping to touch the lily
and tell her daddy just how beautiful it was
(even without a bunny.)
