You took me to paradise
Now you bring me rain
Sleet
It makes my shoulders cold
What was your intent
Blood upon my door
Even when you’re wrong
Ignore my hindsight
Not in love any way
Finally I learnt
I was just the dog at your feet
Cursed
No longer strong
Had enough of everything
Now I keep you in the corner
Of my mind
Never to leave your side
Though you look for me
Blind
I won’t harm you
Till I need you
I’m learning from your kind

Once I was an artefact
Now I’m just a rhyme
You call this love you give
I suppose that’s not a crime
Summer’s brought me something back
Now I’m a colder clime
You unleashed this artefact
Frozen for a time
