Stigmata Diabolic/Faux Canadian

How I long to be entwined
In your presence
To feel your breath upon my brow
Your hands against my cheek
Your smile gracing me with its glory

How much I yearn to hear your voice
That voice that tastes like mellow honey

Can you taste the fear in me
The fear of touching you
Lest you be naught but an apparition
A schismatic symptom of my fractured mind

Can you feel me trembling
As I timidly kiss your lips
Barely breathing
Hands curled in terror of your parting

Or do you only back away to look at me
To see the joy in my eyes
As I realise you are real
A tactile presence
Truth made real
In my world of façade

Is that you trembling now
Unable to believe I am there
Unsure if you are dreaming

Feel my breath upon you
Feel these lips caress your eyelids
Succumb to these hands
As they grip you gently

Feel me
As I feel you

Across the years

Across the miles
