Diaphanous Heliotrope
When you wanted a new grave
I gave mine up for you
With each breath
I bleed
I do it all for you
Would you set yourself on fire
When I’m near
Far away
Just burn the other slaves
They don’t know
What you want
You want blood
So I tear my veins
If I give you love
Would you take it now
Or ask for me to stay
All I see
All you want
Aren’t they both the same
When I came along
I gave you everything
Said you wanted nothing
So I give you more
When I bleed at night
I still call out your name
Sometimes the tastes not right
But I write it just the same
