He graduated from Lexington High School, and was accepted into Harvard, before he was drafted. He served with honor and little else in the Korean War, and later played as a wide receiver in the NFL . He died in Concord, following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle; two daughters, Erin Black and her husband, Walter of Tyngsboro, and Justine LaFayette and her husband, Daniel of Concord, NH; and six grandchildren, all but one too young to remember him in a decade. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. |
