
A potted history of the heart's progress...some fine phrases here ..."platter of hope" is very good...has overtones of being offered up...almost John the baptist head on a platter like associations...
"operatic joy for all mankind" is certainly redolent of love's effusion in that first heady flush...then "dungeon of love" is the dark flip-side when it all starts unravelling....
That final image of a palace of light is a fine summation at journey's end...

very descriptive and colorful. it paints a picture in my mind, one i have also painted, time and again, of the many facets of love...the ones that burn bright and beautiful, and the dark ones as well.
Sometimes I wonder if men and women really suit each other. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then.
