Cognitive Lust

Stigmata Diabolic

She had long hair
Loving eyes
The kind that said

You won’t get out of here alive

She had a story to tell
I’d tell it to you
But I’ve another tale to relate

It too could be true

You see
This woman had a man
She could have anyone she wanted
So why’d she choose him
He with the maestro mind
While his body was bloated
Rife with the promise of death

It can’t have been money
What he had
He spent on himself

So lady love was perverse it seemed

She longed for an honest man
Choosing substance
Rather than objectification
Telling him how beautiful
His mind was
Devouring the brutal honesty
Inherent in his every syllable

Come the day
Fateful for her
Just another for he

Yes

Come the day

He remarked on her absence
Continuing
Swiss like in his momentum
Of how she talked up the mind
But was only there long enough
To satisfy the body

Funny really
She once spoke of friendship
That and fulfilling mutual needs
Now she speaks of love

And doing the deed

He took his love
Put it in a body bag
Then took her

And flung her in the sea
