The Vow - Sonnet

Trying to write my vows into sonnet form and having a horrible time ....help....anyone?

This wonderfully brilliant day I vow

We'll live in truth and find our lasting strength

I'll hold your hand and kiss your aging brow

Your beauty I will expound at great length

I'll bring new love and love, you'll bring new fun

Let moonlit embrace erase angers hold

And passions persist with dullness undone

Today and forward may our tale be told

Our lives and love today will be combined

With promise I'll be the woman you see

I give my body, soul, my heart and mind

Let us become what we would like to be

This day I look into your eyes and know

This love of ours will only grow and grow

She makes a difference

another attempt at a Sonnet. I'm not happy with this one at all. It's supposed to be part of Megs teachers year end gift. she's been so incredible, instilling in Megs a love of poetry, so I thought what better way to thank her then this? Any way, Leanne, anyone else, your help, PLEASE!!!!
One day she will discover her sharp wit
That has been so gently polished by you
With knowledge you so stalwartly commit
To find the strength to build each child anew

You showed her how her dreams are grown each day
With each brush stroke she paints tomorrow’s world
Your inspiration boosts her to display
With care her greatness swift as it's unfurled

In loving care she’s spent her learning start
Immersed in dreams and painstakingly taught
With guiding hands and a beautiful heart
And such a difference you now have wrought

Without you shaping my daughter’s young mind
This wondrous budding life would be confined

So Close to heaven - Sonnet

edited thanks to Leanne brillance
Without you in my ever changing life
The sun would ebb to such a tiny light
No more I want then this: to be your wife
To spend each minute of all hours of night

Surrounded by your arms to keep me warm
The beat of your fast heart against my ear
With lips to lips and love so true to form
No more disturbed by lack of trust or fear

Your eyes a perfect shade of wonderful
And my own life in such a state of bliss
So lost in loves compellingly bright pull
In silence hoping for your tender kiss

And as you speak to me a soft “I do”
At last and always, I belong to you

Wanting to say so much more

Thousands of words pass my lips
Directions, commentary and little quips

But aside from the one line refrain
That doesn’t even begin to explain

When it becomes the opportune time
Pure emotion rushes internally sublime

I move to speak but stumble,
Every single thought tumbles

And all the right words but “I love you”
Bid my usually logical mind a quick adieu

Oh My God It's Early

From the "Half Dozen or the other" or "6" prompt
Ubiquitously between
Five and seven
Not a minute before
Or later
The incessant beep
Beep, beeping
of the alarm

Jumpstarts
My day
And more to the point
My bladder

Divine Intervention

From "Numbers" Challenge
Beneath the Spring divinity
Where the blood thirsty red sea
Lays shimmering
Above heavens lights,
Where Venus, the silver planet,
Frolics and consorts with them
As a crescent moon
Croons

Despite the Winters dying wish
Where her waxen skin
Fades in the morning
Of the fertile green leaves,
elation with little life,
Sprouting and piercing many
Within four seasons
And making everything Beautiful,
Despite impending death

Working Overtime

*adult content*
Spit frantic to cleanse
the taste
Left behind

After you kissed me
And fucked me
And then left me
To fuck her

And poor Ebner
Working overtime
To rid me of the memory

Tease

Please, whisper my name
in your toffee tinged voice
The slightest hitch

It gives me no choice
But to liberate a little sigh
before a satisfied little cry

Your name on my lips
With strong hands on my hips
Say it so softly sweet baby

Maybe, just maybe
I’ll listen

A Journey Unfinished

Within her vivacious hazel eyes
Skies open and the fair moon appears
Fear plays tag with precious invention
Questions form every other second

Beckoning her soft spoken fairy heart
Artfully woven with the knowledge of life
Rife with constant speculation
Elation wrestles with trepidation unknown

Alone she’ll discover the natural truth
Youths end will be her final test
Possessed of great strength of mind
Kindred spirits she will surely find

Behind the false walls and the pretty speech
Reaching beyond myriad of broken dreams
Schemes to take that which she sees
Belief in herself will be her deliverance

Waiting to say hello

Somewhere in this empty bed
From someplace in this empty head

Beneath the pile of clean white linens
Anticipation waits
Comfortably sets hook and bait

Draws the curtains
And lights the wicks
Kicks the door shut

Fluffs the down pillows
Softly sung lyrics
Wrung from sexy lips

And sighs
Before she sits down and lingers
Fingers the dainty lace
Racing up to a shadowed thigh

And checks the clock one more time
All the while
Tapping her toes in perfect rhyme
