Kailey's Place

This is my niece, she doesn't know how good she is. Raw but I think gifted.

My first experience hearing something she wrote, was at the worst possible time, her granddads funeral. She was only 12 (almost 13) at the time. I remember hearing what she wrote as it was read by the minister. I could not believe that was a 13 year old's words. She is now 18 and a soon to be Freshman in college. I promised her I would post these pieces of hers, as I believe she is better than she thinks she is. Granted what I have are all pieces wrapped around the most tragic of events. She is the subject of a piece I recently wrote called "That Smile". I hope some of you will take the time and let her know what you think.

	Granddaddy II - Bill Kinney died in April of 2003. This was her granddaddy. She was almost 13 when she wrote this.
