"The Sense of an Ending" by Julian Barnes. Novella that won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction (2011) here in the UK. Couldn't put it down...excellent read with a good twist at the end. Also "The Bees" latest collection by poet laureate Carol Anne Duffy (superb poetry as usual from the best living poet in the UK) |
