I really don't know how to deal with it sometimes

If it makes you feel any better, I often feel that way when conversing with my 4-year-old. What does that say about me?

3- Colleen on June 25 2008

wow.. your kids talk to you??  amazing!

my boys have grown tired of explaining things to me so now  they just nod and grunt in my general direction every now and then.

I do think you had a bit of responsibility for the way they turned out! I always look at how beautiful, confident and capable my daughter is and hope she got at least a little of it from me!

There's no way in hell that I deserve the three wonderful boys I have.  Even being married to my wife doesn't account for it.  Somewhere three families are wondering what happened.

I choose not to have children, there's enough morons in the world already and it would only disappoint me if they turned out to be like the other morons.

Think of the money one saves without children! My mind is blown by those who have children.....why...why....for the love of your spurious deity, why?

9- Norm on June 25 2008

My kids have already made life better for a number of people, so it seems to have been a good gamble.  Granted, it's a roll of the dice to have kids, but it's a roll of the dice to get up every day.  Besides, after Vietnam, they are the only things who have kept me from giving up entirely.  Having children is not for everybody, but they have been the best three blessings that have ever happened to me.

I am a much better person for having had children; I can't imagine any other people or situations that could have had the positive impact on me that they've had.

They also knock me out with their know-how, and the way they are so self-possessed and mature (especially my daughter). In their own ways I can see that more often than not, they leave whatever they touch better than they found it.

Without kids...who else would take out the trash and load the diswasher?

13- Julie on June 26 2008

They DO that?

14- Amanda Baker on June 26 2008

Only if you poke them with sticks, and cry...the crying helps. Eventually it gets done.

15- Mosquitobyte on June 26 2008

aaah, there's my problem, I don't cry...I do leak from the eyes occaisionally though! lol

Besides, who needs kids, the old man next door tells me off if I DO take the bins out! lol Handy having a slave... :P

I have a 16 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.  They are both inhuman and today is the first day of summer vacation.  Please pray for me.
