wow.. your kids talk to you?? amazing!
my boys have grown tired of explaining things to me so now they just nod and grunt in my general direction every now and then.

My kids get all their best traits from Ellen. She's the brains of our operation. Also the looks part. Hmm.. and the soul part. My part is the comicbook part.

I choose not to have children, there's enough morons in the world already and it would only disappoint me if they turned out to be like the other morons.
Think of the money one saves without children! My mind is blown by those who have children.....why...why....for the love of your spurious deity, why?

I think Norn nailed it - the joy is watching my kids be so much more than I could ever dream to be. Watching them make other lives better. Watching the joy they bring to everyone around them. Watching them lead their friends to be happier, smarter, stronger better than they imagined they could be. Watching them love and live and inspire. They are the best dreams I could have ever dreamt.

I am a much better person for having had children; I can't imagine any other people or situations that could have had the positive impact on me that they've had.
They also knock me out with their know-how, and the way they are so self-possessed and mature (especially my daughter). In their own ways I can see that more often than not, they leave whatever they touch better than they found it.
