Some days are worse than others. Those days where you accidentally hear something you shouldn't have, and it stays with you for an agonizing amount of time...

I find the hardest times during a deployment to be the final month of something. The final few weeks until he comes home for R&R, where I get my husband back for a few weeks only to have to send him back to That Place, or when there are only a few weeks left until that magical redeployment date arrives. It's also the scariest time. I am much more emotional than usual, even if I don't show it, and my whole being becomes hyper-sensitive.

Dear one, you have every right and reason to worry yourself silly, you are in love, you are missing him, and you can't wait for him to come home. You have come to the right place to voice your concerns. I won't bother to tell you all the inane answers that won't do you a damn bit of good. I WILL tell you that I will worry with you, I will wonder, pray, and care for the both of you. I will point all MY WISHES towards a safe return of your husband to you and towards the return of your sanity (if only temporarily while he is in your arms).

I remember a very special person telling me one time when I was crying, 'go ahead, cry, get it all out because if you keep it bottled up inside it will only cause you more grief'. So I am telling you, go ahead, voice your worries, your pain, your fears, and your concerns because keeping them all inside will only make it worse. If you need a shoulder, mine are broad and quite used to being leaned on, my email and yahoo id can be found under my profile on here and IF you need an actual voice to listen to you, send me a message and I will call you from my cell phone (after 7 my time it is free)!

Ditto what Rene said! Also when Jersey is discharged,  I work for the VA and I can try to help you navigate the system. Just be reassured the VA is now one of the best Healthcare providers in the United States! AND all OIF/OEF veterans get all sorts of healthcare services and there is also alot of online information too. Just let me know if I can help in anyway. And remember you worry about Jersey as much as you like!!
