Right after I wrote this a big storm blew in with 60 mph winds so maybe I do have psychic powers...Ha:) By the way, I really don't want to talk to the dead they'd scare the shit out of me.
I finally hugged that tree, under the cover of darkness of course. I even gave it a kiss and thanked it for being such a good tree.
I think I'm cracking up:)

I am so glad I am not the only one who embraces trees and touches their skin imagining veins full of sap/blood. Trees are wise, much wiser than I and not at all hyper and emotional like the poets. I could have a friend in a tree. We would get aloong well because I talk too muchj. On the serious side, I LOVE your poem. Period. Mira Mataric

It is different from anything else of yours that I have read but that is a good thing! I love the first stanza, it brought a smile to my face and the visual is great.
