Ode to my Lawnmower

Do you know, I absolutely love mowing the lawn?  I do it barefoot, which is apparently quite a bad thing, but I love the feel of the new cut grass underfoot.

Now... iamb-wise you're running into some difficulty.   Scanning just the first two lines I come up with:

I NEED/ed esCAPE /from the CON/stant NOISE,
the PLAY/station's REV/ inVAD/ed my MIND.

obviously it depends where you put the foot breaks, but that's more or less:

iamb/ anapaest/ anapaest/ iamb
iamb/ anapaest/ iamb/ anapaest

if you tried to make it all iambic when you said it aloud, the stresses are all over the shop.  I'm actually going to make a rather radical suggestion here and Shakespearean purists would flay me, but I really like the rhythm created in the first couple of lines (though I'd stick with the iamb/ anaepaest/ anapaest/ iamb order), which is kind of galloping and up-beat and I'd love to see what would happen if you tried to keep that.  Triple feet are so much more exciting, and there is some action going on here... and bugger the purists.
