This is excellent! It's shockingly good and extremely vivid. It's stripped down to essential words, essential detail and description. There's a concreteness to it: nothing is vague or wishy-washy; and it pulls you in with a narrative immediacy. It cleverly uses the biblical names (with all their connotative associations) and superimposes the dramatis personae into a modern contemporary (almost street-life) urban setting. This layering of historical over contemporary gives an extra richness and intrigue to the scenario. The hard-hitting hard edge is ultimately laid bare to reveal a deep humanity despite iteself. Great piece! Rgds.,Alan.
