S1: I don’t get the comma on L5. Are we supposed to infer one at the end of L4?
So there is no joy in Mudville, even regarding love? See: “Praying”.
I’m not sure what “the soft place” means, but my impression is that it is a church or churchyard. What makes this one intriguing is who the "we" is sitting atop the ferris wheel. In summary, this is a bit hard to decipher, but it IS interesting. It draws us in to speculate. And that makes it a pretty good write.
