our average little marriage

Okay, here goes! The meaning, to me, is one of sentimentality and is quite sweet really. I find the piece a little hard to read though. For instance, I would suggest ;

let me find love
in your broken eyes
the way we fold
then unwind
into a mesh -- a screen

we grow old then
it seems we know
where the sands of time
fall right through
the gems are left
bits of laughter, bits of truth
cracked and worn
we were born, then it grew
a swim on a dolphin's fluke
an average thing between
me and you

By taking out a few articles here and there, then adding a few line breaks it lets MY mind absorb the thoughts more easily. It seems to run together too quickly for the actual metaphors and visuals to come easily to the brain!
Just a few thoughts here is all...I do love the overall effect though.
