I like Laurie's original very much.
It is true Stephan's seems like a different poem.
Not a bad back and forth, though. Almost like a conversation.
I can imagine Laurie's as verse one,
then Stephan's quite different in tone, as verse two.
Then going back to Laurie, answering in the same tone as the first verse.
