I have often wanted to write triolets, and I think I remember the rhyme scheme
      A - First rhyme

      B - Second rhyme

      a - Rhymes with 1st line.

      A - Identical to 1st line.

      a - Rhymes with 1st line.

      b - Rhymes with 2nd line.

      A - Identical to 1st line.

      B - Identical to 2nd line.

Is that correct? But I don't remember if there is a syllable requirement ?

What makes a poem good?

I have read alot of poetry in many books and on several websites. What is it that makes a poem "good" or well written? What is it that makes a poem "Bad" or amateurish? Is it personal preference? Is it style? I know what I enjoy, but figure I certainly don't know that much about poetry. What is it about those "good" poems that capture your interest?

I have a question if anyone knows... I was thinking of selecting some of my poetry and getting a small Chapter Book printed for my Mom, my sister and maybe a few friends. How much would this cost? How long does it usually take to get it printed and returned to me? Any leads on a good not too expensive printer? Or would I be better off doing my own? (More work, but I am sure it would be cheaper)

It is Wednesday evenings for 6 weeks and includes many different aspects on writing I am interested in . I hope it is worth the $300, I feel I still have so much more to learn. Anyone else taking a writing class or seminar?

I have a question, what is the differences between Prose and Fiction? Is there a difference? Are there different schools of thought on this? I often have people ask if they can read my "prose", now I figured aside from poetry I wrote some 'fiction', which I considered to be short or long stories with more than one chapter. I thought that 'prose' was a very short story which was not longer than 1 chapter... Can anyone explain the basic differences?

Soul breath, mistingOn a tongueless lick of spoon

A belly aching, grumblingWith the sweetened monologue of need

O this thirst, this taste of hell and rageAcerbic as a bitter pill, sweet as honey

Steeped in a lemon pout, this clinkOf porcelain, my swallowed steam

Of here and when, then and there, neverDrunk, these ticks and tocks

That swim in curses, this ghost of whoI am, a banshee, wailing for tea
