I write mostly short poetry and short short fiction (under 1000 words). I find my inspiration from my life, my friends' lives, random things I happen to see or hear from strangers, day dreams I had as a kid, birds, water, and just about anything else. Most importantly, there is always a piece of myself in my work. No matter where in inspiration comes from, it ties to myself. I don't mean to do this, but it happens anyway. My major focuses at this point are a wider use of typography to visually convey the written meaning of my work, making two things which ordinarily wouldn't equate work together, and showing the deep side of children (not as innocents, but overlooked/invisible young people who see and experience everything). I'm also trying to embrace the extraordinary. I have finally found the courage to write genre work because of Kelly Link. I've yet to finish a piece, but I'm at least working on it. If you have any more questions, please just let me know.
