or is it Wandering?

                    I watch
worlds passed

or is it past?

Fragments,

Pieces of time

                   Lost
Tokens,

Infinite possibilities

               Waiting
Never

High, she rises.
With skirts of Cotton Veils,
Shattering
Endless Onyx Sky

Stolen light reflected
Wanton promises
Tasted,
Of fullness yet to be

Pull of tides,
Her courses run
Through,
Disappointing relief

One that is waiting
Has not come,
Mourning
Who will never be ... more

Echoes of screams longing to be free
In memories of a cold November
Waiting, no postman arrived
Instead, a savior in white
Promising to deliver

Breaking the calm, silently he sliced
Accomplice to silver spoons,
Stripping me
Like unripe fruit from a tree
Breach of trust complete.

Gift of emptiness lingers
As a small, slippery sweetness
Too soon is swept away ... more

Introducing Me!

Hello, my name is Janelle and I oh-so-wish I was a writer. Actually, as a pre-teen/teenager I wrote quite a bit. Short stories, poems... then somehow that spark faded away. What replaced it? Well, nothing creative. I have continually felt a hunger to express myself in a creative way, however struggled to find that outlet. I have dabbled in various art forms, but nothing felt right.
Fairly recently, thoughts started pouring through me. It was strange, in fact. I started thinking that writing them down was a good idea. So, here I am! I'll admit that this site intimidates me a great deal and I am almost scared to post. I hope, as time goes on, that will pass and I can glean some insight on ways I can create meaningful works. Ones that hopefully aren't complete trash. ... more
