I didn't know my poem "Mr. Sandman" was still posted here...Anyway I enjoyed reading your poem and especially liked this stanza:
Turning to depart
looking back once moreYour voice a whisper
eyes burning my soulInto the night
escape the memorySwallowed by the dark
buried by shadows
