Oh Renee, how very sad!  And yet, in a way how uplifting.  I never believed much in the occult, but since Jeff died, I have a whole new way of looking at departed spirits, so I have no trouble believing your grandfather gave you a parting wave!

I've also become a really firm believer that when death is dealth with within the family with a lot of support and shared grieving, you learn to accept it as part of life, even if it's still as painful to go through -- but you go through it much more healthily, if that makes any sense.  Being taught a skill like weaving and then using it to try to allieve someone else's sadness and pain is a wonderful lesson in care and compassion.
