prepared for every disaster

I read this with the idea of being prepared for disaster... the confusion (looking frantically around) the panic (knees knocking) the denial (not seeing)  and then always having an extra just in case.   not sure if it was intented to read this way, sometimes I read too much into stuff... but I thought it was a very clever and orginial way of saying it!
