Blood in the Water

Thank you very much, Colleen for your kind review. The poem is based on an actual conversation I had with my closest friend whose toxic mother is an endless source of mindblowing sadness for her. She literally said, 'There's blood in the water." Together, she and I have spoken so many times about the mutual nightmares of our borderline mothers. Just having someone to talk to, who believes you and loves you can be a reason to keep going. I hope I did it right (the poem)...These things are so damned hard to write about!....C
