To tend her little man

Six O'clock, the sun is waking

Another's cry, weak but urgent

As vomit fills the hall, hits the walls

On her hands and knees, she wipes away

The filth, her other hand extends in comfort

The clock strikes twelve, life is hectic

The laundry monster grows

Alphagetti scatter with giggles

Grape juice stains white cotton

Like blood seeps from a wound

The bewitching hour arrives

Among books, chatter,

Bubbles splash across tiles

I sit here, with all of our pillowsHolding me upIn uncommon silenceExcept the occasional car engineAnd the faint whir of a lawn mower

Your scent mingles withThe red percale and white duvetExhale then inhaleTake the deepest of breathesAnd smile

Close my eyesSlowly move past recent memoriesYour kisses and your loveTo a little voice223My love you Scotty. Scotty you never leave me?224

And the look you gave meWith your reply223That's it, I have to stay now224Before the smileThat said so much more

Then the quick glanceOver my shoulderInto a little girls hazel eyesThat held so much hopeIn her silence

From whence did the need beginTo feel each word from far within

From the slow lift of infertile lipsIn the midst of each solar eclipse

As sweat trickles in a jagged linePrickled skin on a withered vine

Not in the silken flesh so desiredOr the pre-requisite dance required

Beyond the skin, the blood, the boneThe song, the walk, the fear, the moan

The root shall be once again discoveredAnd the source of life will be uncovered

Erroneous belief mine own eyes can seeInstead of immerse and nourish the tree

Here I sit

Deep purple walls

Surround

My white porcelain

Throne

Where hundreds of

Overfilled bladders

Emptied

Between movies

And hundreds

Of Unique fingerprints

Mark the wall

Just above the paper

A small spot

Looks suspiciously

Like Snot

The occupant to the right

Should have cut back

On the bran

Or maybe given some

To the lady

Grunting fierce

On my left

On the door

At eye level

A sticker

"I'm famous in Japan"

And in fine print

At the bottom

Where I have to squint

To read it

"Made in China"
