The only colour
On a room washed in white light
The smoke detector hastens me
Defibrillating my mind
Whilst a tar pit of microbes
Assails me

The emergency waiting room now a haze
Bound by the fog of a chemically induced head ache
Only the constant blinking
The tremors
Sweating
swaying in the breeze of the triage nurses breath

my friend signals me again
