Shakespeare's Monkeys

Infinite Monkeys. Infinite Typewriters.

More in Old Poetry from DMV

How did you learn to sew such exquisite design?

I sit here, with all of our pillows
Holding me up
In uncommon silence
Except the occasional car engine
And the faint whir of a lawn mower

Your scent mingles with
The red percale and white duvet
Exhale then inhale
Take the deepest of breathes
And smile

Close my eyes
Slowly move past recent memories
Your kisses and your love
To a little voice
223My love you Scotty.
Scotty you never leave me?224

And the look you gave me
With your reply
223That's it, I have to stay now224
Before the smile
That said so much more

Then the quick glance
Over my shoulder
Into a little girls hazel eyes
That held so much hope
In her silence

How did you ever manage?
To weave your essence
Not only into my every pore
But into every aspect of life.
