guilt about voices long since broken

Niall dropped me a line last year
and reminded me that he lived

I had forgotten him
completely.

He was a good guy,
a great mate to hang with and laugh

Now,
i remember his laugh
and his voice
though it's foggy

I was stunned to learn
his best friend is Jens
(whose voice,
by the way,
I never forgot.)
