understanding the womb of inspiration

isn't it interesting
how you balance a spoon on your nose
while you explain to me
the relevance
of your sex organs?

Some people probably wouldn't think so
or would fixate on the the crudeness
and crassness of our nature,

but I think they miss the point
when you pull the purple sweater tight
around your secondary attributes
and highlight the hourglass
as though time is running out faster
than any of us might think.

It is our nature
to be the animal
and the better angels

not to be the lions food
and so small we can not dream.
