James Randolph Jordan began his writing career in 1981 while working in Appalachia as a reporter for a human interest magazine. A native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, he currently lives in southern New Jersey where he works full-time as a freelance writer.
In February of this year, Jordan was named a winner in The Missouri Review's short story audio competition (in the creative non-fiction category). Currently (summer 2008 issue), one of his short memoirs, "A Death in the Family," is being featured in Candida Lawrence's magazine, Memoir (and).The author is currently writing more short stories for publication and is hoping to publish a collection of these short stories in the near future. And, yes, he is hoping he will find a literary agent and publisher -- quickly.
