My quest for physical health stops short after about 5 or 6 weeks of working out. In October I decided that if I did that again I would get a gym membership, and if it wasn't too awfully expensive a personal trainer as well.

Well guess what? I haven't worked out properly in almost 2 months, so I went on Monday and signed up at a gym, and I am the proud owner of a new shiny personal trainer. He also happens to be a former Marine.

I had my first session with The Marine today. I am so glad that I went to the gym on my own on Tuesday and Wednesday (swam 625 yards on Tues, ran a mile, did chest presses and swam 250 yards on Wed) in preparation for today.

Hey, "Crazy," that's muy fabulosa! Seriously, I'm proud of you. Good health is paramount.

I took some itty-bitty-baby steps yesterday: I did some sit-ups, and I walked an extra block with the dog. It sounds like nothing, I know, but for my sedentary self it is SOMEthing. I can't jump in like I used to, that's a fact.

I want my own marine...sigh...

You put me to shame Chris. I have a free gym membership and can't get my butt there. Maybe I need a Marine to yell at me and blow a whistle in my face.

Congratulations on your decision to keep working out.

(I'm also trying to figure out how to get around this site...duh!)

You go girl! I am so proud of you. I have been walking a lot but I can't run or jog due the new metal knees they put in a little over a year ago. But, I can go up and down the stairs at college now which is totally awesome to me and I can walk and I do that every chance I get!

----- LIFE: I messed up, can I have a 'do over'?

I am orbiting, I don't know where, but I am orbiting something!

You've inspired me, C. I went for a half hour walk with my son tonight. (Now I find myself trying to ignore my craving for something schweet. )

Well done you! I so love people who live that you can be fit even if you aren't thin. Nothing like breaking the stereotypes. Keep at it and keep telling us about it. (Of course if you end up both thin and super fit I shall probably hate you, but what the heck. We hardly know each other )
