All that is fair enough. I entirely agree. But I would argue that in these two the images are concrete rather than abstract. My niggle is that it appears that if 'I' and 'you' were replaced with 'he' and 'she' it would be both more ovious where the divide is and, I suspect less of a poem for it. BTW, you calling me a lazy writer
