More in Jehovah's Witness Jehovah's Witness
I was once told by a wide old man, whom I later found out was a dreadful heathen, that no god should be worshipped in a building made by man. To even think about attempting to contain the divine with bricks and mortar is the most supreme arrogance. And to think that by building a tiny little container like a tabernacle, with a candle in it, the Holy Spirit will be induced to fill it like some tame moth is just flat out stupid. But I'm sure there are good reasons -- other than blind obedience to tradition and ritual whose origins are long forgotten -- so I shall not scoff. And they chopped down the trees to make their good book, I believe.
