How Do Things Work Here?

I'm really lost. I just posted some poems, only to shake me out of the silly fear I had about posting here. I'm not even sure I posted it in the right section. I guess it's going to take me awhile to find my way around here and to figure out what I'm doing. Was everyone as lost and confused as I am when they came here? Oh Man! I'm lost in a maze!
