Question for New Users

Hello Monkeys, I have an aged question/issue. A recurring problem with my every now-and-then visits is graphic in nature. If I attempt to move around the site, each clicked link knocks the typeset up about 10 to 20 font sizes. Essentially, if I click on anything, my view is reduced to 1 word. "Threads" fills 19 inches of screen. The temporary fix is to right click on a page and fiddle with encoding, but the subsequent temporary font shrinkage only works for that one click. The encoding re-adjusts itself to expand. I had tried getting this question/issue into print a while back, but couldn't find a text box in which to insert my cranky, aging question.
