deb, this really does sound great, like your Dad has to go through this tough thing but not the very worst things -- and it sounds like he's handling things fabulously.  That sitting on the bed stuff IS super!

You are an angel to look out for him and your family. Be sure to take great care of yourself in the midst of all the caregiving -- that's an order!
