Due to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor, the total prize for the the Simian Award is doubling.
Yes, you read that right, doubling.
The new prize structure will be as followed:
for each of the three contests annually:
1st place $125 USD
2nd place $50 USD
3rd place $25 USD
for the Grand Simian (chosen from the three winners of the year)
$200 Grand Prize.
That's right. The winner of the year will win over $300, and 9 poems will earn cash. Thank you to my friend for your gracious gift. This will definitely helps us achieve our goals to spur on great work from everyone and then share it with the world.
