Acceptable Use Policy

Shakespeare's Monkeys is a free workshop for poetry and prose. Membership is open to all but is subject to adherence to our Acceptable Use Policy, the terms of which are as follows:

· Members are entitled to one Personal Space which may be divided into subsections. This Personal Space may be managed and edited only by the Member and the Associates of Shakespeare's Monkeys. Associates will not exercise editing rights except in the event of a breach of any of the rules contained in this section or breach of law.

· Members may post comments on articles posted by any other member (provided comments are enabled), however the Associates will edit and/or delete should these comments be deemed inflammatory, defamatory, breaching copyright or law.

· Members may originate articles and post in their Personal Space or any open forum, however Members should be informed that excessive (more than 10 per day) articles prevent the fair use of the site for all Members. Shakespeare's Monkeys requests that all Members engage in a balanced exchange of comments with other Members, such that the spirit of the community is maintained. Consistent posting of an excessive number of original articles may result in temporary suspension of posting privileges.

· Shakespeare's Monkeys encourages freedom of expression and therefore we do not engage in censorship unless the material explicity breaches the laws of the USA and/or the nation of origin. We expect that all Members are responsible for their own words and will use their posting privileges in a mature and artistic manner.

Any breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy will result in the following action(s):

1. An on-site message or email pointing out the breach and requesting its remedy by the Member. If this is ignored;

2. Associates will edit where appropriate and an email warning will be sent. If this results in a repeat of the breach, or if the response is unsatisfactory;

3. Shakespeare's Monkeys will temporarily suspend posting privileges until the Member can show just cause for their actions and/or provide assurance that the breach will not occur in the future. If no assurances are forthcoming, Shakespeare's Monkeys will proceed with a total ban on said Member.
